Storytelling at Departures meant making every subject feel worthy of a luxury editorial. These two features do exactly that. For a solo travel guide with writer Jenn Tardif, I art directed Pia Riverola’s stunning licensed photography into a layout that balances intimacy with the expansiveness the brand is known for. For a family travel feature with Dr. Becky Kennedy, I collaborated with illustrator Tara Anand to develop a visual language that’s warm and playful without losing Departures’ signature polish. Together, they show how strong art direction can meet a reader where they are, and still make them want to go somewhere.
